Neon Flowers is some hair raising, spine tingling shit. Perfect for the ASMR crowd, or for nervous people who meditate. It gets inside of you. We hesitate to call it music, though it certainly works as music, it is music. But what is music? Are these the flowers themselves, or are these the real flowers modeled on the fake ones? The sound is efflorescence, the murderous impulse of plant life. It ebbs in like something else, like a vine. We felt our chakras being fucked with. This is one of those rare albums that penetrates points in your ear that, like the acupuncture’s foot chart, are hard wired to very specific places elsewhere in the body. So yes, Neon Flowers will hit you in a sensual way, drug like, snug like, quietly altering your personality through sound.

And after all that when the sound of fingers reaches out to you, and you feel yourself being lifted upward, cloudward, offstage, down river. It’s quite a surprise to be drifted so thoroughly through two speakers.
